Broken By Friendship (Sequel To Two Friends)

The light from my day turn dark
The willingness in my bones now
Shackled
Frail and deserted I stare
Motioned into confusion my gaze
Poise
My ears unable to accept the sound
With hands raised to the heavens,
Seeking a divine awakening,
 From my illusion it would seem.
 For my heart knew only one beat
Now it's gone
My fortress crumbles for the loss of
A valuable knight,
Not to death or illness,
 But from betrayal it sprung.

Once had a brother, now alone,
Bethrotted now broken,
Friends bonded by trust
Now shattered into abyss.
Recover will the heart,
But another it would seek not anon
For the void of friendship was
breached by an insider
Once beyond suspension,
Now the murderer to my demise.
